Little Man was down for the count last weekend with a fever of about 102. I don’t think it was H1N1 since he didn’t have a severe cough. The only symptom that showed up was nasal congestion that has lingered, which made Little Man look droopy for days.
My husband and I kept him home from [...]

Little Miss Throwsafit’s hypotonia causes her to have constipation. We give her Miralax every day but the dosage can be quite a tightrope. If we don’t give her enough, she’s severely constipated. If we give her too much she gets diarrhea. What makes this especially tricky is that the constipation can manifest itself suddenly. One [...]

For several months now Little Miss Throwsafit has been walking with a walker and getting more sure footed and more confident every day. She moves her walker around with greater ease all the time. Since it has swivel wheels, she’s able to get around the house and other areas so much easier.
Well, I am thrilled [...]

I got a call today from Little Miss Throwsafit’s neurologist at the University of Michigan. He finally got a look at her original MRI that was done in May 2006 (we had a heck of a time getting a CD of the scan sent from Toledo to UofM – don’t ask) and although the report [...]

I just now realized that I post a lot of my daughter’s therapy pictures for this particular meme. Rest assured, Little Miss Throwsafit does many other things besides therapy, so next time I’ll be sure to post a picture of her simply being a little girl having fun.
For now, however, I’m including another therapy picture. [...]

I’m not sure how I’m feeling yet this morning, so I’m using both titles. The first is nice and sweet; the second has an attitude.
I’m loving Thursdays. Part of the reason I’m so thankful for Thursday is because this is the day Little Miss Throwsafit’s therapists come to our house. For her other physical and [...]

Those were the words Little Miss Throwsafit’s pediatrician said to me after examining her at her 9 month well visit. Today in my premier post at Blissfully Domestic, I write about the day I learned my daughter has hypotonia.
Please take a few moments, head on over, and take a look. If any of you [...]

I took this picture yesterday at Little Miss Throwsafit’s physical therapy session. That’s Karin, her physical therapist, behind her.
She was so excited because my son was handing her a little basketball so she could throw it towards the basket that was hanging on the door. It was an impromptu therapy technique because in order [...]

I am thankful for Fussy’s post about her son, Joey. He, like my daughter Little Miss Throwsafit, has hypotonia and speech apraxia. The main difference between our kids is that LMT didn’t have External Hydrocephalus.
I was so excited to read her post about Joey, because, after hours and hours of physical, occupational, and speech [...]

Little Miss Throwsafit has her new therapy schedule for the summer, and we’re going to be quite busy. We’re adding to her schedule two speech therapy appointments a week. So that brings us to physical therapy 3 times a week, speech therapy 3 times a week, occupational therapy 1 time a week, and teaching [...]
