Littlest One has another fever, the second one in three weeks. He doesn’t have any symptoms: no runny nose, no diarrhea, no coughing, no nothing. I’ve got him on ibuprofen and he’s acting pretty normally, except that he looks a little tired and periodically he wants to be held and loved on.
No matter how many [...]

It looks like Little Miss Throwsafit is feeling much better. I hope and pray this isn’t a false feel better thing like she experienced Thursday. I hope she really is better. I took these pictures earlier today.
Here she is looking sweet and innocent, which she is almost all the time. Well, except for the moments [...]

Well, I was premature when I said we are all on the road to recovery. Little Miss Throwsafit threw up again this morning. Thankfully there was very little in her stomach at the time, but it concerned me nonetheless. I called the pediatrician and took her in. He requested a blood draw to do a [...]

I say all because it seems each of us has been experiencing some crazy health issues the past week or so.
My husband dealt with a sinus attack/infection last week and he’s finally feeling better. My older son has been having sinus issues this past week as well, but his symptoms are a bit of coughing [...]

Tonight Little Miss Throwsafit is Little Miss Throwsup. The poor thing started whining a bit earlier this evening and I wasn’t at all clued in to what was wrong. She didn’t want to eat. She drank some milk, but that was it. It wasn’t until after I put her in bed and she threw up [...]

It’s hard to believe that a little girl who has such a complicated open heart surgery just two weeks ago is now home.
Remember how she looked after surgery?
This is how she looked yesterday right before being discharged:
My sister-in-law attributes her swift recovery to all the prayers that so many strangers have been saying [...]

Kate is doing so much better. It’s simply amazing and your prayers are such a significant reason:
Kate had a very good day today! What a turn-around in the past 24 hours! She has been smiling, playing, and even laughing out loud. I know that last night, there were many churches praying for her during their [...]

Thanks to all of you who are praying for Kate. She is doing better and had a good night last night. Her blood pressure is up because her body isn’t dumping as much fluid as before. Hallelujah!
Please keep up the prayers because they’re working. Karin has more updates on her blog so check in often [...]

If you can offer additional prayers, I would greatly appreciate it. Karin updated at 9:00am today:
Good news is that Kate is still stable.
Bad news is that they haven’t found a great way to get all her meds into her. Basically, they are going to have to infuse some of them faster, stop, change over to [...]

My little niece, Kate, had open heart surgery on Monday. She has a rare condition where her heart is upside down and on the wrong side of her chest. My sister-in-law and her husband knew this about Kate and adopted her anyway because they feared she would die in China.
If you could offer any [...]
