Today was an interesting day. Light purple clouds swirled in the sky, allowing some large drops to fall periodically, but nothing heavy. It just allowed for some very pretty photographs.
These are some photos from Alcona County. A storm is a brewin’.
On the way home I stopped to take photos of what looked like a little [...]

We kind of cheated and took our Sunday drive yesterday. My husband was itching to take a road trip with the kids so we loaded them up in the car and headed over to Traverse City for the day. Lunch at North Peak Brewing Company was delicious. Steve ordered a beer sampler and the dark [...]

As I said earlier today we went on a Sunday train ride on the Michigan AuSable Valley Railroad. We were very lucky to have gotten a chance to ride the railroad since yesterday was the last day that it was open. It’s a great family activity that takes you on an 18 minute ride through [...]

I’m working on my Sunday Drive post and it’s a good one. Yesterday we took a train ride on the Michigan AuSable Valley Railroad, which is just a few minutes from our home. It’s a great ride for families because it’s not only so much fun for kids and adults but the views are spectacular. [...]

Today was overcast, but I really wanted to get out for a drive because the trees are just about to reach the peak of their color change. I didn’t have to drive far to get some beautiful views. This one is about two miles down the road from me.
Isn’t that beautiful! Look at those [...]

One of the things I love most about living Up North is how breathtakingly beautiful it is during the Fall color change. The trees are God’s canvas and he paints them with brilliant and fiery reds, golds, and oranges.
When I was out driving today, I didn’t have any destination in mind. I just drove [...]

For this week’s Sunday Drive I headed down to the landing that’s near our livery because it’s so quiet and peaceful there. The only thing you can hear is the bubbling of a small creek that empties into the AuSable right in front of the dam.

Earlier this evening, Little Miss Throwsafit, Littlest One and I drove to Garland to meet my husband and Little man for dinner. It was about 7:35pm and the sky looked so beautiful that I stopped to take pictures. Since I wasn’t able to get out today for an official Sunday drive, I took the opportunity [...]

My it was such a beautiful day. It was so warm and sunny. Unfortunately, though, I wasn’t able to go for a drive, so I took a walk out to the back of our property instead and just photographed some really cool views.
Like this one:
Those trees and plants are so lush and green, [...]
