Christmas party cake
On Sunday, we had our annual Christmas party with my mom’s side of the family. My contribution was to bring the cake, as usual, so I got the brilliant idea to contact my neighbor Kathleen and had her make us one of her wonderful, scrumpdilicious cakes. This time I had her make a carrot cake. I had a birthday card with some really cute monkeys that I’ve been dying to use for something, so I had her put them on the cake. This is how it turned out:
It says “Monkeying around the Christmas Tree.” If you knew the folks on my mom’s side of the family, you’d understand completely. LOL!
As I expected, everyone raved about how fantastic Kathleen’s cake was. By the time all the families left for home, there was very little of the cake left.

That is so cute! I guess I missed out because I never had her bake a cake for me. Drat….

Her cakes are fantastic. Your mom said the HoHo cake I had her make for the boys’ birthday was the best cake she’s ever had. They are that good.
