Happy Halloween!

Today is the day for jack o’ lanterns, dressing up, and, of course, candy! We got our kids into their costumes and had them pose for a picture:

We took the kids to the shops downtown for some daytime trick or treating , which was very sweet. It started to rain as we loaded up in the car. That pretty much depressed us, but it thankfully stopped for our trick or treating and promptly started again as we got in the car to go home. Here’s a quick shot of some downtown shops:

Littlest One and I tagged along behind Steve and the older two, but it gave me a great shot.

The three of them begging for some goodies:

The coat was not originally part of Little Man’s costume but he started getting cold so I gave him mine.

This is the wonderful Christmas town display inside the Ace Hardware Store that’s attached to Martin’s Home Store:

Littlest One looks at one of the shop owners as if to say, “can I have another one?”

The kids had a wonderful time today and are currently stuffing their faces with suckers, Sweetarts, licorice, and all manner of sugary stuff. I loved the opportunity to stick my head in a few stores, some of which I know I want to check out again later.

As for the trick or treating, they do it all again tonight when they go around the neighborhood.

Fun times!

The kids are adorable! It looks like they had a great time. Your downtown is so sweet! It makes me miss living up north (NY). I can also see some beautiful fall colors in the background.

    Happy Halloween!
