My son is going to give me a heart attack
Three times this week alone I have walked into my dining room and found Littlest One, my 19 month old son, sitting on top of dining room table playing with whatever was on top. All three times I swear my heart stopped for a nano second.
Keep in mind, Littlest One is the only of my three children who did any climbing whatsoever. Little Man never climbed on anything. He was far too cautious for that. Even as he turns seven in November, he still a calm, cautious little boy. Because of Little Miss Throwsafit’s physical disabilities, she didn’t do any climbing until just last year when she learned how to climb from the floor onto the couch.
Unfortunately, my most active, risk-loving child is my youngest and at 42 years old, I am not sure if I can handle all that he is going to throw my way.

My precocious son, a week after he deciphered walking climbed up on the rocking chair and stood on it, arms outstretched, torso stationary as his hips and legs rocked the chair back and forth furiously. My heart is still, almost 8 years later, sill lodged in my throat.
Amazing as of this writing we still have not dealt with a broken bone or stitches….knock on wood.

When our third son was 18 months old, I found him on top of the refrigerator. I had taken something away from him, placed it on top of the frig. and went back into the living room to nurse 3 month old son #4. I started hearing these noises I could not decipher … returned to the kitchen … he was ON TOP of the frig.!! He had pulled the drawers out and used them as steps to get to the counter, then opened a upper cupboard and climed it’s shelfs like a ladder to get himself on top of the fridge – but he could not hold on to his ‘treasure’ and use his hands to climb back down ….. this proved to be my introduction to what my ‘happy go lucky baby’ was blossoming into …
Sons’s # 1 & 2 had both climbed to the middle of the table to eat the butter numerous times before they were 2 …
And son #4 ended up having the upper bunk as his bed at 18 months of age – because then he would stay in bed!!! A HUGE blanket was literally wedged between the matress and guard board due to his size … but he climbed in of his own accord everynight …
Four sons in six years time – it was ever so interesting …. they are now all in the 20′s …. I’d better stop …. o;-p

Yes, Kim, he will give you heart-attack after heart-attack.
By the nature of his birth order and the fact that he is a BOY, you are going to get a run for your money.
Start the day with a prayer to his Guardian Angel and put him in charge. May be it’ll free up some peace of mind. I know my boys’ Guardian Angels work OVERTIME!!!
