A Sunday Drive – Memorial weekend edition
For A Sunday Drive, I didn’t go very far, just across the street to the public AuSable River launch. This is where we put our customers in the water.
These are some of the canoes that are waiting for our customers. The people who are working with the little rafts are private users.
I love the chairs this private user drilled into his canoe. He looks comfortable.
Here are some of our customers as they launch down the river. It looks so fun and relaxing doesn’t it. Our stretch of the river is a National Scenic River, so it’s wild with lots of wildlife and few homes directly on the river.
And they’re off!

How beautiful!!!
When was the last time you went for a boat ride?……

Thanks so much, Barbara. I had the opportunity to go kayaking down river on Monday. I took a waterproof disposable camera but was so disappointed at how poorly the pictures turned out. They were faded so badly, they looked as if they were taken in the 1970’s so I haven’t posted them. There is one that turned out ok after I worked on it in GIMP but the rest are really bad.

That looks so peacefull and relaxing! The canoer with the plastic chair is kinda funny, I don’t know if I would want to canoe in a plastic chair the whole way lol!
