The Valentine’s Day card hunt
Well, it wasn’t really a hunt. I just had to drive a couple of blocks to Rite Aid and pick up some Valentine’s Day cards for Little Man’s kindergarten class tomorrow. While I was there I picked up one for my husband, too. I got a good one that is half way between funny and romantic. I think he’ll like it. Anyway, Little Man and his fellow classmates are exchanging V-Day cards tomorrow, so he sat at the dining room table and studiously wrote his name on the inside of each card. He even drew a line to write his name on. We saved the special hand stamped cards that we got from Stefanie for his teacher and principal.
Afterward, we went over the name on each envelope so he knew which card went to which child. Unfortunately, Little Man still hasn’t learned to read all of his classmates’ names, so we worked on sounding out each name. Hopefully he will recognize them all tomorrow.
Oh, the Hooked on Phonics kit arrived yesterday. Did I tell you that already? It’s a really nice kit; in fact, it’s more like 3 kits in one. It includes a Hooked on Phonics, Hooked on Handwriting, and Hooked on Math. I am impressed with all the workbooks, flashcards, CDs and books that are included. I got it on eBay, brand new and still in the box, for less than half the price of the kits on the HoP website. I love eBay.

Beautifully written. I appreciate.
