Works for me: Badger Balm
You can’t live Up North and not embrace the snow, so this year my husband and I bought two new-to-us snowmobiles.
Snowmobiling is nothing new to my husband. He’s been driving them for years. I, however, had ridden one only once before, and that was on the back of my husband’s in the mountains of Colorado. One thing I still have to buy is a helmet, which I’ll be taking care of soon. However, until I get one, driving a snowmobile does a real number on my face. All the wind and snow pelting my face is terrible, especially since I’ve got rosacea, so I had to find something to protect it while I was out.
I thought perhaps smearing some Vaseline would help. But then I remembered my Badger Balm. If you’re unfamiliar, Badger Balms are made up of Extra Virgin Olive Oil and botanicals. I’ve got all kinds of Badger Balms, from Sleep Balm, to Stress Soother Balm, to Evolving Balm (the older moms will appreciate that one!), to Sore Muscle Rub. And there are so many more products, too.
So instead of Vaseline, I smeared some of my Healing Balm on my face. Healing Balm has the Extra Virgin Olive Oil base with Golden Yellow Beeswax, Castor Oil, Aloe Vera extract, and Essential Oil of Sweet Birch. That’s so much better for my face than petrolatum. Blech!
When I came home from snowmobiling this past Saturday, my face was still affected by the wind and snow, but it was so much softer, in much better shape, and recovered so much faster than if I had not used anything.
I love my Badger Balm. I works for me.

That sounds like a dream product. During the winter when my kids get the really dry, red cheeks I put A&D ointment on them – like after their bath. It works really well too. I pretty much love A&D for everything. Kinda like the dad from Big Fat Greek Wedding and his Windex. I use A&D all the time.
Glad you found something that works for you – again, learned something new about the sport of snowmobiling. I would have never thought of the cold affecting your face like that.

Sounds like a great idea. It never gets that cold in Texas, but I’ll remember that when I go skiing.
You won the Fundoodies game from my giveaway last week. I’ll have the owner contact you via twitter. Congrats:-) It’s a fun game!
