Gratituesday
I participated in Gratituesday a few weeks ago but I kept forgetting to participate after that. How ungracious of me. But today I visited Kim at It’s a Dog and Pony Show and she reminded me.
My Gratituesday post is going to sound really superficial but I’m grateful for my new iPod. It keeps me going at the gym so I can continue my new habit of exercising 4-5 times a week so I can lose weight. If I didn’t have it, I don’t know if I would stay motivated. My goal is to lose all the weight I gained from my three kids. I’ve got a good 30 pounds still on me and I know the only way it’s going to happen is if I get my butt moving. My iPod helps me keep my but moving. Ever since Christmas I’ve gone to the gym almost everyday and walk – fast – on the treadmill for a good 30 – 50 minutes. Then I use the different machines to work the various muscles that need toning. And I do it all to the voices of Carrie Underwood, Earth, Wind and Fire, Robert Palmer, David Bowie, Jon Bon Jovi, and others. When I’m done I feel so good, completely refreshed and strong. That’s so much better than the pity party I used to have every time I looked in the mirror.
And it seems to be paying off. I ran into a girl at the gym today that I haven’t seen in the past month or so. I was thrilled when she said she could tell I had lost weight since the last time she saw me. YES!!
So today I’m grateful for my little music making motivator.

Instead of being superficial I think being grateful for your ipod shows humility.

I think your post is awesome. And I also think that you realize it’s a priviledge to have an ipod – you are a hardworking Mom that probably puts others first – so even having an ipod, I bet you feel a little guilty. But you go girl. You keep up the good work. I think there are lots of young people out there that need to see what a priviledge it is to have ipods and cell phones and fancy cameras – and they take having those things for granted and think nothing of their ongoing costs or replacement costs.
Keep up the great work!

Are you kidding? I love my IPOD. It’s prozac through my ears.
I love it so much I can’t believe that I didn’t really want it when my husband said he was going to buy me one.
GRATITUNES!!!!
