The Lights Before Christmas

Categories: Family — Kim on Nov 29, 2008 @ 11:16 pm

Tonight we celebrated Little Man’s and Littlest One’s birthdays at the Toledo Zoo.  We had a party at the Animal Party Room with all we could eat pizza, bread sticks, cookies and cake and then we bundled up and went to the Lights Before Christmas. It was such a great time. I took a picture of the cake because the zoo’s catering department did such a nice job:

The kids first went on the carousel:

Here’s a great view of the lights:

I loved the lights synchronized to Christmas music:

Here’s video of model trains that are always a hit with the kids:

The building that had the trains in it also had a huge Tyrannosaurus Rex skull. Little Man had me take his picture with his head inside the T-Rex’s mouth.

Then one of Little Man’s cousin, J, wanted me to take his picture, too. Isn’t that cute? That’s J’s dad, Mark, standing next to him.

We had such a great time.

  3. Hey, Sarah. The Lights Before Christmas were wonderful as usual, and the weather cooperated fully. The night was so clear and not too cold. We couldn’t have asked for a better night.
