A Sunday Drive
As I said earlier today we went on a Sunday train ride on the Michigan AuSable Valley Railroad. We were very lucky to have gotten a chance to ride the railroad since yesterday was the last day that it was open. It’s a great family activity that takes you on an 18 minute ride through a jackpine forest within the Huron National Forest. There’s a tunnel and two trestles. We all had a great time and enjoyed some great views:
Steve and Littlest One
Little Man
Little Miss Throwsafit saying “cheese!”
Oooh! We’re going through a tunnel.
One of the many buildings on the grounds. Everything on the property is well cared for.
The views were just breathtaking.
We love that we live so close to something so quaint and family oriented. It’s a must see every summer.

I’m so glad you guys got to do this and didn’t miss it! The views are beautiful as usual:) How fun to see via a train. The colors are just popping over here on the west side of the state as well…just gorgeous! They seem more vibrant this year.

So cute – and such beautiful leaves! Looks like the kiddos had a great time. Those are the best kinds of memories.
