We’re having Dwight Yoakam for lunch
I found these cute chicken strips at Glen’s the other day, and they’re really quite good. To be honest, it’s the name that caught my attention: Dwight Yoakam’s Chicken Lickins Chicken Fries. Dwight Yoakam anything would catch my attention, honestly. We love
Dwight Yoakam at our house. My husband and I saw him in concert a few years back and he was a lot of fun. He sings the honky-tonk kind of country music that no one else seems to do anymore.
Yes, I write about the most earthshaking issues in our family, don’t I?
My daughter loves these chicken fries because they’re so easy for her to handle. I like them because they taste good and because they’re from Dwight Yoakam.
Well, not really, but that’s ok.
But this is from Dwight, himself, and it’s wonderful.

I love his song “A Thousand Miles from Nowhere”.
And yep, you have to like that honky-tonk kind of country. But he is a classic.
And I haven’t seen those in my market yet. I’ll keep my eyes peeled!

Any chicken the kids will eat is good news and if it’s good enough for Dwight, who can argue?

I’m a Dwight fan myself, so I can see where you’re coming from! He is actually from my neck of the woods, which is of no particular relevance but I thought I’d say it anyway!

Dwight Yoakam is one of the few country music singers I’ve ever liked. I love the Streets of Bakersfield duet with Buck Owens.

We don’t really do the country thing around here. They sound good, though. I’ll have to keep an eye out for them. I’m kind of tired of Dino nuggets.
