Beauty in the face of down syndrome
I saw this at Five Minutes for Special Needs and felt compelled to pass it on. It’s a montage of images of babies and kids with down syndrome. As I watched it, I couldn’t help but think about the statistic that 90% of mothers whose babies are given the diagnosis of down syndrome choose to terminate their pregnancies. That’s just heartbreaking.
Watch this video just once and you’ll be moved by the sweetness, innocence, and peace in these children’s beautiful faces.

Kim~
I loved, loved, loved that! So beautiful. That one little girl towards the end with the big blue eyes and freckles was amazingly gorgeous! And I liked how they many of them were photographed with their fathers.
I know, it is heartbreaking that people make such an unthinkable decision because they think it’s more than they could handle or that life would be better without. I could not even imagine. But little by little, sharing things like what you shared and setting an example of loving a child no-matter-what can only help change peoples thinking on the culture of life.
We have been truly blessed to know several families with children with Downs and we couldn’t imagine life without them. I always find it fascinating that the families with Downs children are families so full of love and happiness – and truly see what a joy and gift each and EVERY child is. I know that’s God’s handiwork. For sure.
On another note, how can I add the McCain ad to my blog? I played around with it for awhile and couldn’t figure it out – yes, I’m that inept.
