A delicious morning
I let my my golden retriever, Sammy, out this morning, and when I opened the door I was met with the sweet, rich aroma of pine. Oh my goodness, did it smell good. It rained quite a bit last night, so I’m thinking the storm must have released the pine sap from the pine trees. I dashed back into the house and grabbed my camera because I wanted to record the beautiful morning that brought me such a sweet Up North scent.

That’s the best! Great description.
Funny, I smelled pine yesterday too – except it’s because they are widening a road near my neighborhood and the tree clear cutters are there doing their thing there. It’s amazing how that smell carries.
Loved the last pic – is that a bird between the trees?

Thank you! When the air has the scent of pine, I could just stand outside and breathe it in all day long. It was so strong, too. We’ve had the perfect amount of rain here so that the trees and the grass are so luscious and green. I love it!

I’ve never been as far north as you are, but it looks stunning. Here in Oklahoma, you know it’s going to be a good day when the wind blows the Eau de Cow Pie away from your front porch.

I have an idea of what you mean. There are a lot of dairy farms in and around Rose City and West Branch so when we drive through those towns, we get a nice whiff of Eau de Cow Pie.
